BMW C 600 and C 650 Models Overview (2012–2020)

BMW launched the C 600 Sport and C 650 GT in 2012 as part of its entry into the maxi-scooter segment, aiming to blend motorcycle performance with the practicality of an urban scooter.

The C 600 Sport and C 650 GT marked BMW Motorrad’s return to the scooter market since the BMW C1. These maxi-scooters were designed to offer sporty performance and dynamic handling while maintaining the everyday convenience and comfort expected from a scooter.

BMW C 600 Sport (2012–2015)

Updates & Name Change (2015–2016)

C 600 Sport renamed to C 650 Sport
Technical upgrades:
- Smoother CVT transmission
- Redesigned exhaust silencer for better sound and emissions
- Standard ASC (Automatic Stability Control) and ABS
- Optional Side View Assist (SVA) for the C 650 GT (blind spot detection)
Design changes:
- C 650 Sport received a more dynamic look with new colors and sport seat
- C 650 GT featured revised rear styling and updated taillights

End of Production and Successor

End of Production: Both models were discontinued in 2020, partly due to Euro 5 emission regulations and BMW’s shift toward electric mobility
Successor: No direct successor, but BMW introduced the fully electric CE 04 as a future-forward urban mobility solution
